Hi! We are Tom and Jackie Eagles the Captain and Crew of S/V Soaring Eagles (who is who depends on who and when you are asking)
Parents, grandparents, sailors, (in that order) we hail from Georgetown, ON Canada.
Tom got his love for sailing from his Dad who, together with a young Tom, built a Thunderbird in the backyard of their Meaford ON home that they sailed in the Georgian Bay.
Jackie was first introduced to sailing by her Grandfather but it wasn’t until her twenties that she leaned to sail on her own and would eventually teach sailing on Lasers in some awesome parts of the world.
And, as many stories go, along came jobs and kids and dogs and all of the craziness that comes with a “land life” that kept us off the water until that wonderful magical day arrived when we retired. And this is where our sailing story begins …
